Welcome to our Customer Success Stories feature, where we share the journeys of individuals who use assistive technology to achieve their goals. We hope these stories educate, inspire, and highlight the impact of the right tools and training in unlocking new opportunities.
Kayla’s Vocational Rehabilitation (VR) counselor, Krista Cooperman with Missouri Rehabilitation Services for the Blind, collaborated with NanoPac to acquire her a new laptop. This new laptop for Kayla was fully equipped with all the necessary assistive technology for her to succeed. Determined to build the skills needed for meaningful employment, Kayla was at Little Rock World Services for the Blind from November 2023 to June 2024. With a passion for learning and a drive to succeed, she spent months training on assistive technology software with office applications and graduated with a vocational certificate in Office Essentials. Throughout her time at WSB – Kayla demonstrated her skills on AT (Assistive Technology) using Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and other office programs with JAWS and Fusion through many tests. Additionally – each test Kayla needed to score at least an 80% or higher to move onto the next area. Kayla’s hard work paid off, and today, she is proudly works as a cashier at Bass Pro in St. Charles, MO – Success!
Check out some photos Kayla shared with us below!
